I know how important it is to have everything syncing correctly so you can focus on running your business, @Safco. Let’s work together to resolve this by re-authenticating your account and updating your banking credentials to ensure a seamless connection.
To ensure we're on the right track, can you let me know if you’re seeing any error messages when one of your accounts disconnects? This will help me understand the situation so I can provide you with the most accurate solution.
From what you’ve shared, it seems QuickBooks is running into a hiccup when connecting both your American Express High-Yield Savings Account and your American Express Credit Card at the same time. This happens when both accounts share the same banking credentials or name. Thus, I recommend verifying your account information.
If that’s the case, let’s re-establish the connection of your account and modify your American Express banking credentials.
- In the Bank transactions page, select the tile of your account
- Click the pencil icon, then Edit account details.

- Update the account name, then save.
After that, go back to the Bank transactions screen, then Update. This will refresh the connection and automatically download your latest transactions from American Express.

If you still experience challenges after trying these steps, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. I’m here to help you explore additional solutions and ensure both of your accounts sync without any further disconnects. Your success is important to us, and we’ll work through this together. Take care.
