Glad to have you here in the Community, @Geeo1.

Let's get your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac up and running so you can get to working order.

It's possible that QuickBooks isn't compatible with the system you are using that's why it crashes when we try opening it. To get this resolved, let's uninstall your QuickBooks Desktop and repair it by removing both the PLIST files from the User and System folder before we reinstall. This way, we can refresh the installation process. Let me guide you how.

For User PLIST, here's how:

  1. From the Finder menu, hold down the Option key and select Library
  2. Open the Preferences folder.
  3. Look for all the PLIST files that contain com.intuit.QuickBooks2019 .
  4. Move them to Trash and then empty them.

For System PLIST, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to a new Finder window to open the Macintosh HD
  2. Form the Library, select the Preferences folder.
  3. Look for all PLIST files with the same file extension.
  4. Move then to Trash and Empty it afterward.

After removing the PLIST files, you can now restart your device and then reinstall QuickBooks
