I need to amend a recent 1099 that I e-filed through QB. This was for the year 2023 but I cannot find any clear instructions on how to do so.

I'll ensure you can amend a recent 1099 that you e-filed through QuickBooks Online after following the instructions below.

Once you've e-filed your 2023 1099-NEC or 1099-MISC with us, you can file or submit an amended 1099 through QuickBooks Online beginning in 2024. However, please know that the 1099 correction flow will be available in-product sometime after January 2024.

Otherwise, you'll need to work directly with the IRS to make a manual amendment to your 1099 forms. Use these IRS instructions to do so. You will then need to provide the corrected return to the receiver or contractor yourself once it has been updated.

Thank you but can you please give me an exact date to when this will be available? Why advertise a service offered without specifics? We are now into February 2024 and it's still not available?
