I need to import transactions from and add a non-supported European bank. I operate my business in Paris and US. How can I do this?

Let us help you import transactions from a non-supported European bank and add them in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE), dsaggio.

To add a non-supported European bank account in QBSE, we'll need to request support from your bank. Let me guide you on how:

  1. Click the profile ⚙ icon and tap Connect bank.
  2. Search for the name of your financial institution. If QuickBooks is unable to find your bank, you will get the message, "Hmm, we can’t find [name of the bank you entered] in our list of supported banks," and you will be presented with helpful tips to try and locate your bank account.
  3. Hit Request to add your bank.
  4. Enter your bank's web address (URL) in the field provided and click Request.

You can check out this article for more details about finding your financial institution and connecting it in QBSE: Find your bank or credit card account when you connect to online banking in QuickBooks Online or Sel....

In the meantime, we can manually upload your transactions with a CSV. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Profile ⚙ icon and select Imports.
  2. Click Import transactions.
  3. Follow the onscreen steps to upload the CSV file.
  4. Press Import.

To learn more about adding transactions manually from a CSV file, refer to this article: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once your European bank is added to our list of supported banks, you can now connect your bank and credit card accounts. For the steps and details, follow the instructions in this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Now that your transactions download automatically, all you have to do is approve the way QuickBooks categorizes them. Refer to this article on how to categorize the transactions you download from your bank: Categorize transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Moreover, you can visit this article to create and use rules to quickly categorize recent and past transactions: Create rules to speed up reviews in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

The QuickBooks Community team is committed to supporting your business success. If you have further questions about connecting your bank accounts or any QBSE-related concerns, please go back to this post. We're always here to assist you in achieving your financial goals, dsaggio.

@dsaggio

You can use csv2qbo converter tool as a workaround. It's a $60 one time license.
