I pass credit card processing fees onto my customers, and those fees are being counted as "sales" in my account. How do I change this?

If you've added a credit card processing fee by creating a service item and adding it to your invoices, you can change the account you'd use to track these fees by following the steps below.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. On the left navigational bar, go to Sales.
  2. Choose Product & Service.
  3. Choose the Service item you've created and hit the Edit option.
  4. Click the dropdown arrow under the Income account.
  5. Select the account you want.
  6. Once done, click Save and Close.
