Account currencies are automatically determined by the specific regional website you used when you purchased your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. You may have signed up via the US-specific link and created a QBO US account, which makes the option to switch currencies unavailable.

Alternatively, you can use the multicurrency feature in QBO to record transactions in foreign currencies without changing subscriptions. It will enable you to manage international transactions seamlessly while keeping your existing data and account configuration entire. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon and proceed to Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Advanced tab and then Currency.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. From the Home Currency dropdown, choose your preferred currency.
  5. Turn on the Multicurrency feature by toggling the switch on. Please note that this action is irreversible.
