I use quicken for a check register. I cannot pull up my latest account. It pulls an old account that I had years ago. What do I do?

I'd like to get to the bottom of this, Jimbo. However, I need some details from you to ensure we provide the best and most accurate information to help you return to your business.

Could you please clarify what software you are using when accessing the account, and also specify which account you are referring to? This information is crucial to ensure we address your concerns effectively.

If you're referring to a Quicken account, I recommend reaching out to their dedicated support team. They're available to help you resolve any technical issues or provide guidance on accessing your latest account.

If you're using QuickBooks Desktop, I suggest leveraging the Audit Trail feature to track all transactions and activities within your QuickBooks Desktop. This will provide a detailed history of modifications or deletions.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to Reports at the top menu bar and choose Account & Taxes.
  2. Select Audit Trail.
  3. On the report screen, click Customize Report.
  4. Go to the Filter tab and search for the Transaction type.
  5. Choose Invoice and hit OK.
  6. Filter the dates to cover the period when the invoices were created.

In case the account is inactive, here's how to retrieve it:

  1. Go to the Lists menu and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. At the bottom of the Chart of Accounts window, check the box labeled Include inactive. This will display all accounts, including those that are currently inactive.
  3. Once the account is located Right-click on it and select Edit Account.
  4. In the Edit Account window, uncheck the box that says Account is inactive to reactivate the account.

Additionally, I’ll share these valuable resources that can help you manage your entries in the program more effectively:

If you're referring to something else, please let us know in this thread. We're committed to addressing any questions or concerns you may have so you can get back to managing your finances smoothly.
