I work at an A/E firm (Architectural/Engineering)

I am adding our consultants to QBO and trying to connect the following, their invoices, statements, proposals to each consultant and also connect it to each individual project

Hey Renee200,

Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community! When creating invoices and so of that nature, you can use the transaction list under the client's name in QuickBooks Online. Here is how:

  1. Go to Customer and Lead.
  2. Select Customer.
  3. Choose their name.
  4. View the Transaction List.

If you want to create and manage a project instead, you can use this feature in QuickBooks Online Advance and Plus. This even allows you to add old transactions to new or ongoing projects as well. The link below shares more information and include a video presentation.

If you are trying to tie the specific consultants to each client you might also try adding the consultant as a class in QBO. This would allow you a unique way to view the reports and connect the invoices and projects to each consultant. Another option could be a custom field in the sales options which would then show up on your invoices.
