I know what the difference is but don't know how to fix it. I have several transactions from a specific accounts receivable account (receipts and payments) from various years that are shown in the trial balance register, but do not figure into the balance sheet total.
I want to ensure your data is accurate after switching to a different platform, jodi-funservices.
The amount might not match with Cash Basis since the Desktop and Online versions don't consider transactions as paid the same way. The reporting date will also affect the data displayed on the report.
Let's customize the Balance Sheet report by setting the date to All Dates, and the accounting method used is Accrual. This will display all records. Please see the attached screenshot below as your visual guide.
The conversion might also change the detail types of each account. You can review and edit them to ensure the data is correct. Here is how you can use the Account List report to review and edit the detail types of your accounts.
Once done, open the Balance Sheet report again, then review the data. You can also read other details and steps in these articles to ensure the converted data is correct.
