Join nowHello everyone,
I'm reaching out to see if anyone in the community has experience or insights on integrating DATEV data into QuickBooks. Our company operates with a German accounting system and we're able to extract our financial data via DATEV export. We aim to leverage causal.app for our reporting and financial planning, but currently, they doesn't directly connect to DATEV.
We've noticed that causal.app does offer integration with QuickBooks, and we're considering using QuickBooks as a conduit to streamline our data into causal.app. The challenge is, we need to figure out how to effectively import our DATEV data into QuickBooks first.
If anyone has navigated this path or has any advice on the best practices for such a data import, your guidance would be immensely valuable to us.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Cheers;
Joerg

Ideally, if you need to integrate Datev data into QuickBooks Online, it's best to contact their Customer Support team as it's a third-party application. This ensures that the application is properly integrated with the compatibility aspect of QuickBooks.
Moreover, if you're looking for a third-party application to synchronize your Datev into QBO, you can check out the tools available on our QuickBooks App Store website. However, it's important to note that Intuit does not provide recommendations or support for third-party applications or websites.

Which accounting app do you use in Germany?
An external accountant office is doing the bookkeeping and tax declaration for us. They use ADDISION.
ADDISION has a DATEV export we want to use, to get our accounting data into Quickbooks.
Is your goal to create a consolidated report from Addision and your US company data in QBO US version?
If anyone else is exploring how to import data from DATEV or any other general ledger system into QuickBooks, here's what I've found:
Ultimately, I wasn't able to find a seamless method to integrate my German accounting data (based on SKR03) directly into QuickBooks.
As a result, we decided to discontinue our attempts to use QuickBooks for this purpose.
