Importing to Online Version

I currently use a reservation system to manage my campground, and desktop version of QuickBooks

I create an IIF file in the reservation system for all sales, and it exports it to QuickBooks desk top,  and I can import sales items into the reservation system from QuickBooks desk top.

I would like to move to the online system.   does anyone know will I be able to use the same functions to import and export iff or data files from on the online version to a third party software?

Thanks

Why did you consider switching to QB Online?

QB Online does not support IIF and you should also consider switching your reservation system to one that supports QB Online. Other than IIF, what file format you can export from the system? e.g CSV, XLS

With regards to importing IIF inside QBO, please know that the option to do so is unavailable. However, there are third-party applications that you can integrate into your account to accomplish this task. We can walk you through how to look for an app that you can connect to your company:

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Apps tab.
  3. In the Search bar, enter a keyword like IIF or import.
  4. Choose the app that best suits your business need.
  5. Click the Get app now button.

Moreover, we've attached these articles to help you modify your company settings, manage subscription billing, and ensure your data stays accurate inside QBO:
