Intuit Fraud Issues

Hi!

Is anyone else having Fraud issues with Intuit? In the past month we have had Intuit transactions that have been fraudulent. Every time I call or IM for help, no-one seems to know how to help. Intuit keeps charing us also for these transactions that we are canceling through our bank b/c they are fraudulent. So far paying intuit $45.

A few examples. There was 2 fraudulent payments for an invoice we sent to a customer. The customer notified us right away that they did not pay their invoice. We stopped the deposit through our bank and was charged by Intuit.

The most recent incident was a charge we saw in our bank account for Quickbooks Online Plus for $42.50. I called right away as we do not have this service. They could not find this charge in our merchant account and neither could I so I was given a link to put in the cost of the charge and our banking information. This linked to an Inuit invoice but with another Company ID. Come to find out this Company ID had the SAME business name as ours and was using our bank info! We disputed the charge with our bank and sent payment back but Intuit charged us $25 for this.

Anyone else having Fraud issues???

Intuit Fraud Issues

Sadly, a LOT of people have had this issue. (You can use the Search bar at the top of any page here in the community, to find others)

It seems Intuit/ QB is NOT so willing to help with the issue, nor stop charging you.  I refuse to let Intuit/ QB have there hands in my companies money.

Sorry this is happening.  I would suggest getting rid of at least THAT part on Intuit/ QB.  There are safer ways to do things.

Good luck.

Intuit Fraud Issues

Hi there, KStratton.

Ensuring the security of your data and account is of utmost importance to us. We have implemented a range of features aimed at thwarting fraudulent activities, including multi-factor authentication and robust data encryption measures.

However, for matters related to billing and subscriptions, it's essential for us to take a look at your account and billing history. Therefore, I recommend contacting our support team once more. They can take a look at these charges and transactions to make sure that we can effectively address this situation.

Here's how to reach out to them:

  1. Go to the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner to open the QB Assistant window.
  2. Type in "talk to a human", then press Enter.
  3. Click Contact Support Team, then provide a short description of your concern.
  4. Press Enter once again.
  5. Select No, I still need help, then choose Contact Support Team.
  6. Look for the Have us call you option and click on it.

Additional information on how to contact them and their business hours are also discussed here:

Beyond safeguarding the information you provide, we also take a proactive stance in identifying potential scams and frauds that could affect our customers. You can contribute to our efforts in combating suspicious activities such as phishing or technical support scams emails by reporting them through our Security Center.

Intuit Fraud Issues

Quickbooks and Intuit Fraud.
So I use Quickbooks online for our 501 C3 Non-Profit. A scammer contested a payment to us for $3000 USD which is huge to us. Without notice, Intuit took $3025.00 out of our account for services we provide back in March, without notice.
The scammer hacked an e-mail account that had the transaction attached, supplied a different credit card number for the refund, and PRESTO, Untuit took our non-profit funds.
Its getting worse folks!

Intuit Fraud Issues

To top it of, we paid a lot of money for our QB Premier edition fr our small service company, now we cannot even bill our service customers, as QB quit letting us bill online, as 2021 is no longer supported.  We switched to ZOHO FREE, and it is working great.  QB has got to be taking a hit for all their greed.

Intuit Fraud Issues

This is happening to me as well and I reported it immediately.   QuickBooks Payments keeps sending me a bill for money that was not mine and I don’t even have  QuickBooks Payment Account.  I provided a police report and they are not helping me resolve this situation.  I hope to resolve this soon.

Intuit Fraud Issues

Intuit made an unauthorized charge on my debit card for $110.78. I call their customer service and they could find no such charge. When I logged onto my Intuit account the only means of payment they had on file was an expired credit card, not my debit card. I had to call my bank to report the fraudulent charge and get a new debit card. This truly puzzles me!

If you use ACH Intuit sits on the money for several days (debited from the bank, does not appear in the suppliers account), profiting off the sweeps I assume.  This may not be strictly illegal, but an ACH payment is a PAID service, and that's where it gets sticky.  Further, Intuit provides not record of payment have been delivered/deposit acknowledgement.  This would expose the date difference.
