Hello I am trying to straighten out our inventory. I have items that we bundle, but the bundles complete product we keep track of. We order the items using the bundle reference, and also individually, as well as the price being different when the item is bundle versus when sold individually. I need to use the Assembly Item option, but when invoicing I need it to list the subcomponents as well. So I need the assembled item to show on the paperwork like the group item does. Is this possible in Quickbooks Enterprise for Desktop?
TIA

Hi there, @sbloch. Let me share some insights about group items and inventory assembly.
For now, QuickBooks only lists the subcomponents for group items when invoicing. Assembly is how you "preassemble" from components to stock it as a different thing entirely. For products that you buy or sell together but don’t track as a single item, I'd recommend creating a group item instead.
Being able to list the bill of materials (subcomponents) would be beneficial to your business. Rest assured that I'll also relay this message to our team in concern here on my end and add your vote for this one.

Thank you for the quick response. Yes I would much appreciate it, if we could list subcomponents of an Assembly Item on invoices.
