We sell soap that comes in a kit. We buy the kit then mix with water to get the final product. One kit will make about 180 gallons of soap. We sell it by the gallon. How do I use an assembly in Point of sale to build 1 kit into 180 gallons. Point of sale will not let me enter a fraction into the Qty/Units in an assembly to build the final product.

I found the answer. I had a negative amount of inventory for the 1 gallon soap assembly because we have sold some. I did an adjustment to get it to zero inventory. Then I went back to the assembly and entered my Qty/Unit as .0055 and it accepted it.

IS THERE A WAY TO PRINT OR REPORT OUT THE ITEMS INCLUDED IN A PARTICULAR "ASSEMBLY"?
Hello there, @SWEETGRAS.
In QuickBooks Point of Sale, once an assembly has been built, it can be included in receipts and customer orders like regular inventory items. Sales reports treat assembly items as unique and do not show their component items.
In addition, the feature to print the components of an assembly item is unavailable. Only group items have the ways for how prices are printed on receipts.
