Currently, receiving an email alert for those items that need to be reordered isn't possible in QuickBooks Desktop. You'll want to add the global reorder point to ensure you'll be reminded in the system.
Here's how:
- Click the Lists tab at the top menu bar.
- Select Inventory Site List.
- Right-click the Inventory Site.
- Select Set Reorder Points.
- Fill in all of the needed information.

You'll also want to go to Intuit Marketplace to search for a third-party application that gives email alerts for items that need to be re-ordered.
