Invoice History

Welcome aboard to the Community space, @BMCKEE.

Currently, the option to show the invoice status printed is not available in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

As a workaround, you can pull up your Audit Trail report and check the invoice that was printed. Your Audit Trail report shows you the activity of your company. There, you can see the changes that are made in your file and who made those modifications. Let me show you how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Select Accountant & Taxes.
  3. Click Audit Trail.
  4. Go to the Customize Report button.
  5. Select the Filter tab.
  6. Type in and select Printed Status from the Filter menu. 1.JPG
  7. Thick Printed and click OK.

You can also see this article for more details in generating a report to show the data you need: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

In addition to this, I’m adding this link that you can utilize in case you need some guidance in personalizing your invoice: Use and customize form templates.

I’ll be around if you have other concerns or questions managing your invoices. It’s my pleasure to keep you in working order. Have a good one and keep safe.

Invoice History

Thank you for that information...We just upgraded to Enterprise and when I open an invoice, it shows "See History" (which I love).  When I print an invoice, I note it in the "Notes" section so others can see that I mailed the invoice vs emailing the invoice.  The "See History" link notes that the invoice was emailed, but nothing if it was printed and mailed.
