Invoice paid date is wrong

When I mark an invoice as paid on the app the paid date reflects the actual invoice creation date. Not the date it was paid.
this is wrong and useless if I want to see how long a client took to pay later.

Invoice paid date is wrong

Hi there, DAR.

Please note that we've received a similar issue about incorrect invoice paid date in QuickBooks Self-Employed app. I'll route you to the right support team to assist you further on this matter.

I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team as they're the best support group for such inquiries as they can request account information. This allows them to document your concern and see the number of affected users on the said issue. To do that, tap + button and select Ask QB Assistant.

In case you need guidelines on how QBSE helps you record your self-employed income and expenses, track mileage, and prepare your Schedule C tax form, you can read this article: Overview of QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you have additional concerns about invoices or any other QuickBooks concern, please let me know. I'm available 24/7 to support you. Have a great day.

What “+”button? The one in the app simply adds an invoice or some other function but not QB assistant.
I can access QB Assistant from my profile but in this case the assistant in completely useless.

Hi there, @Dar. Let me assist you in performing some troubleshooting and get you over to the support to ensure we correct the paid date of your invoices.

There are times when the QuickBooks app data affects its performance. Resetting refreshes it into the default state. This process plays the same role as clearing the cache from your web browser.

To start, follow the steps below for an iOS:

  1. Go to Menu ☰ and tap Help & Feedback.
  2. Tap Refresh Data.
  3. Click Refresh to confirm.

Otherwise, refer to this instruction for Android:

  1. Go to Menu ☰ then tap More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, then Refresh Data.
  3. Click YES to confirm.

Once done, check the invoice payment dates. If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the mobile app. It will help you get the most recent version of the application.

Furthermore, you're right that the button holds the features you can do within the app, such as Invoices. In this case, go back to the QB Assistant on your Profile, where you can enter the issue you encountered. If it's not working, consider logging in to a website via browsers on your device and contacting support from there by following the instructions in this article: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

See this reference to learn about setting up your preferences: Create invoices in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

This guide will walk you through adding sales tax to transactions: Manually track sales tax in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

You can reach out to the QuickBooks Community again if you need additional help with the QBSE mobile app. Just click Reply so I can get back to you as soon as possible.

Invoice paid date is wrong

First off. There is no Menu ☰ in the iOS app. No Help and Feedback (just Help. Which leads to the useless QB Assistant ) and no Refresh Data option to be found.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Same issue. Paid dates reflect the original invoice date.

If I use a browser on my iPad I see the paid dates are correct. So it appears to be a known bug and has been that way for some time.

please send screenshots of app interface if I am misunderstanding where I may find Menu ☰ et al.
thankyou.

Invoice paid date is wrong

Hello there, @Dar.

Before digging deeper into your query, know we commend you for performing the steps provided by our colleague inside the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) mobile application. Also, please be aware it isn't the experience we want you to have when using the program.

Since you don't see the option to refresh your app's data, we recommend clearing the app's data from your phone's settings so you can start with a clean slate and access the application in its default setting. We'll write down the steps below to get you going:

For Android devices:

  1. Open Settings and select Apps.
  2. Tap on the app you want to clear app data for and select Storage.
  3. Select Clear data.

For iOS devices:

  1. Open the Settings app, and then choose the General option.
  2. Locate the iPhone Storage and tap on it.
  3. Choose the Offload App.

If the same issue persists after performing the steps, it's best to reach out to our Customer Care Team using a web browser. This way, they can gather more details, determine the root cause of the problem, and come up with a fix. Refer to this page for more information:  Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

On the other hand, we got this article to help you keep track of invoices and other transactions inside the program: Export transactions and get reports in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If you need help managing invoices or assistance in performing specific tasks, please feel free to visit us anytime. Rest assured, we'll be around to respond and provide you with the details you need. Keep safe.

This did not solve the problem. Not surprising really as deleting the app didn’t solve it.
Again. Viewing the same invoices in a browser shows the correct paid date. So it would appear to be a problem with the app.
