Invoices

I need to have a template update on our invoices.  At the bottom, we want to have the optional credit card fee to calculate.  We do not want to add it to the invoice until they pay with credit card.  Anyone have a template for this or that can help me make a template?  I have been in the customization already and I am unable to add a formula for it to calculate.

Jess, since you're aiming to enhance your invoice template by incorporating an optional credit card fee that activates only when a payment is made via credit card. Let me provide the steps in submitting feedback in QuickBooks.

Although this feature isn't currently available in QuickBooks, you can submit feedback to our product developers to request its inclusion in future updates.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help option.
  2. Select the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Hit the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window display.
  4. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  5. Click the Send Feedback button.

Once you complete it, our designated team will review it. You can track your future requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

Furthermore, you can refer to this article to learn about customizing form templates in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), please refer to this comprehensive guide: Use and customize form templates.

Additionally, refer to the step-by-step guide on how to record paid invoices in QBDT.

Comment on the post if you still have any QuickBooks-related concerns. I'm always here to help in any way I can

Perhaps because it's illegal in some states to charge customers cc fees.  IMO, businesses that charge their customers cc fees are not with the times.  Imagine your grocery store charging you extra to use your cc.  Raise your prices by 2% and absorb it as the cost of doing business.
