invoicing partial quantities from a sales order

Hi there, Susan.

Once your Sales Order has been converted to an invoice, the quantity cannot be changed for partial invoicing. However, I have a workaround that can help you achieve this functionality.

We recommend connecting your e-commerce to your QuickBooks Online account to manage sales orders and invoices efficiently. You'll also be able to invoice for partial quantities to your customers, depending on the e-commerce services. Otherwise, you can browse for a third-party app that has this feature.

While this option isn't directly available within the QuickBooks sales order feature, I recommend sending feedback to our product engineers. Our product team values your input and will carefully consider it for future improvements. Here's how:

  1. Select the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Fill in your suggestions in the Feedback field.
  3. Select Next to send it.

Let me know if you have additional concerns with QBO. We're always here to help.
