Is anyone noticing significantly longer times to connect/refresh to bank accounts. It used to take 1-4 seconds and I just counted 156 seconds since new update.

The new update has proven to add an egregious amount of time to locate features, extra steps/clicking, and connection wait times. This is not an issue of internet speed, this has been happening ever since the new update. Production has slowed down immensely with over complicated new features and unnecessary relocations and unfamiliar graphics.

I can see the importance of having a seamless experience while using QuickBooks Online (QBO), especially with connecting and refreshing your bank accounts, @gabaygbc. Allow me to walk you through some troubleshooting steps and address your queries.

You should still be able to perform core functions smoothly like you did before even after updating the new banking page layout.

If you're still adjusting to the changes, you still have the option to go back to the old banking experience by clicking the Switch to previous version. Here's an article for more details: Learn about updates to the new AI-powered banking page.

On the other hand, the latency issue you're experiencing when updating or refreshing the bank account to sync transactions can be due to the high amount of transactions that are yet to download or the bank is having maintenance.

To get to the bottom of this, go to your bank or credit card's website and sign in. If you're not sure what URL to use, you can do the following:
 

  1. Go to the Bank Transactions menu and select Link account.
  2. Find and select your bank, or copy the listed URL.
     

If you can sign in, it's a good indication that there isn't a major issue and let's check the following:
 

  1. Review your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Check if you can find any display issues as you browse the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  3. Keep track of your bank’s website for security updates.
