is it possible to delete multiple transactions at a time? Something like selecting multiple transactions and then pressing a delete button.

In QuickBooks Online, you have the option to delete multiple transactions at once, which can save time and help you keep your records organized, Chuck. Below is a detailed guide to efficiently deleting transactions in batches.

You can delete certain types of transactions, such as invoices or other sales transactions and Bank Feeds, in batches using QuickBooks Online. You can follow the steps provided below.

Deleting Bank Feed Transactions in Bulk Follow these steps to delete multiple Bank Feed transactions:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu and select Bank Transactions.
  2. Go to the For Review tab and select the transactions you want to delete.
  3. Then choose Exclude Selected.

  4. Next, go to the Excluded tab, mark the same transactions.
  5. Then click Delete.

Deleting Multiple Sales Transactions, you can also use the Batch action function to delete multiple invoices. Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Sales menu, then select the All Sales tab.
  2. Check the boxes for the invoices you want to delete.

  3. Click the Batch actions button
  4. Select Delete to remove the selected invoices.

Please know that in QBO, all transaction types can be deleted, which permanently removes them from your records. However, only certain transaction types can be voided. Voiding a transaction changes the amounts to zero but keeps a record of the transaction for reference.

However, for other types of transactions, such as those recorded under the Chart of Accounts, QuickBooks Online does not currently support bulk deletion. These transactions can be deleted individually.

Additionally, once you have deleted your transactions, there is no option to restore them directly to QuickBooks. You can use the Audit Log option to recover the details of the deleted transactions so you can re-enter them.

If you encounter challenges or any other questions while performing the steps provided above, please leave a comment below, Chuck. I'm here to ready to help you and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Have nice day ahead!
