Is there anyway I can create an order confirmation form?

You may want to consider using the Custom form style to transform the Estimate feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) into an Order Confirmation form, @office339. I can guide you through the process.

 

We use estimates because they record an agreement without affecting your general ledger or customer balance. This approach is most effective if you rarely use the original estimate form.

 

Here are the steps to set up this custom form:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon at the top right of your QuickBooks Online screen.
  2. Under the Your Company column, select Custom form styles.
  3. Click New style and then Estimate.
  4. Name your new style as Order Confirmation Template
  5. Go to the Content tab and tap the Pencil icon in the top section.
  6. Navigate to the Form Names section and replace Estimate with Order Confirmation.
  7. Preview PDF or tap Done to save changes.

Once done, here's how you can then create an Order Confirmation:

 

  1. Log in to your QBO account and then create an Estimate.
  2. Tap the Manage icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Tap the dropdown arrow beside the Design option.
  4. Select your new Order Confirmation template.
  5. Fill out the necessary details.
  6. Save and close or Review and send it to your customer.

 

If your business requires features like sequential order numbering, tracking fulfillment status, or complex inventory management, you may need a dedicated solution. You can tap the My Integration icon to search for apps that provide robust order confirmation and fulfillment workflows.
