Issues with More Actions Dropdown and Shipping Label Creation in QuickBooks Online

Hi everyone,

 

I’m dealing with a couple of really frustrating issues in QuickBooks Online and wanted to see if anyone else has run into these or maybe even found a solution.

 

First, whenever I click the “More Actions” dropdown menu on an invoice, it opens for a split second and then immediately closes itself. I have to click it a second time to get it to stay open. This happens every single time and makes it super annoying to do tasks like creating shipping labels.

 

Second, once I’m in the shipping label creation page (accessed through the “More Actions” dropdown), the dropdown bar stays stuck open and captures key inputs like Tab, Enter, or Spacebar. This means that instead of tabbing through the fields in the shipping label form, my key presses are just interacting with the dropdown menu. I end up having to manually click each field, which is a huge time-waster.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far (spoiler alert: none of it worked):

 

  • Tried different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)

  • Cleared my browser cache and cookies

  • Used incognito/private mode

  • Tried the QuickBooks Online desktop app

  • Restored my account information

  • Disconnected and reconnected my shipping account

  • Even tried praying to various deities, but alas, the problem persists

 

It really feels like this is a bug in QuickBooks Online’s interface, rather than anything on my end or with ShipEngine.

 

Has anyone else experienced this? I’d love for someone from the QuickBooks team to escalate this to the development team. This issue is really slowing me down, and I’d be so grateful for any help or insights!
