Item Listing Report in QB Desktop

Dear Team,

FYKI, I am working with QB Enterprise Multi-user 19.0 Desktop Software.

In ITEM LISTING Report, SKU column is not reflecting in QB.

When I generate and save the report by selecting SEND REPORT AS EXCEL from E-mail button available in QB, the SKU column is reflecting in EXCEL sheet.

FYI, SKU column is not reflecting in QB and Excel file for my collegues.

What is the reason for this?

How to fix it?

Please guide.

Have a pleasant day ahead!

With Warm Regards,

Bagya B.

Item Listing Report in QB Desktop

Hello, Bagya.

Let's work together and ensure that the SKU column reflects on your Item Listing report and on the exported Excel file.

For the missing SKU column in the Item Listing report, it looks like it's not yet added to the report, which is why it isn't reflecting on the report.

In this case, we'll want to customize the Item Listing report and add the SKU column. Here's how to do it:

  1. Generate the Item Listing report.
  2. On the report view, click the Customize Report button.
  3. Go to the Display tab.
  4. Search for SKU (or whatever label entered for the custom field) under the COLUMNS field.
  5. Check the column, then hit OK.

This works if you've added a custom field for the SKU numbers. If you're using a different field, such as the Manufacturer's Part Number (abbreviated as MPN for the column) field, add it to the report instead.

Just to clarify and address the exported Excel file issue, is the column still not showing after adding it? It's likely placed at the near end of the report. We can scroll to the right-most part of the exported report to see it.

Item Listing Report in QB Desktop

Hello there, @Bagya1111.

In QuickBooks Enterprise, the SKU will work if you add a custom field for the SKU numbers. Since you're using a Manufacturer's Part Number (MPN), you can add it to the report instead.

However, if the MPN doesn't exist, let's try running the verify and rebuild troubleshooting.

Here's how:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Go to Utilities, then choose Verify Data
  3. If QuickBooks detects no problems, there's no further action needed. If you receive a message that says, "Your data has lost integrity," the file is damaged. Just continue to Rebuild Data to correct the problem.
  4. When you Rebuild Data, you'll receive a message to back up your company file. Just click OK. The utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  5. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed."
  6. Run Verify Data again to check for remaining data damage.

After running the utilities, try to check your MPN.
