Layout Designer: Properties: Text window

In Layout designer---and actually a bunch of other windows like creating an item description--- the text box when in properties is far to small to read the entirety of the text if its more than 30 words. This makes proofreading a pain let alone seeing the whole structure if its a paragraph. This is the case in a bunch of the windows that open-- Item descriptions, payroll etc.

Can the be made larger? Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Layout Designer: Properties: Text window

Hi there, @dgwelsh79.

Thanks for visiting the Community today. I'm here to help resolve your layout designer window concern.

Let's perform troubleshooting on your Windows DPI settings. To get started, you'll need to change the QuickBooks DPI settings.

Here's how:

  1. Right-click the QuickBooks icon.
  2. Select Properties.
  3. Select Disable display scaling on high DPI settings in the Compatibility tab.
  4. Click Apply, then OK.
  5. Open QuickBooks and check to see if the windows are available.

Then, change the Desktop View Preference. Here's how:

  1. Open your company file, then select Preferences from the Edit menu.
  2. Select Desktop View, then click My Preferences.
  3. Switch View from Multiple Windows to One Window.

Once done, let's also change the Windows DPI settings and edit the screen solution settings on your computer. Take a look at this article for the detailed steps: QuickBooks Desktop display issues.

Layout Designer: Properties: Text window

Hey, Thanks for the response. Those changes def made the icons etc larger but I am looking to change the size of the text box in certain areas. For example- the item description text box is too small if the description is lengthy. See attached pic. I find there are a bunch of text boxes that are to small to see all of the description or the entirety of the data. Payroll and layout designer are two of the more annoying boxes that effect me frequently.

Nevermind-- I can't add a pic.
