It appears there was an update in August 2020 to how QBO looks, immediately apparent on the dashboard. Like most people, I resent change, but I am adapting. Except for one thing: I think the font color changed from light gray on white to very light gray on white. I find it nearly unreadable, and I’ve tried it in 2 different browsers, no difference. Based on other postings, I am not alone in this opinion.
This has been a trend of Web site design for years: pale gray type on white appears “cleaner.” I don’t care much about how it "appears," I need to able to read the software with which I earn my living.
I have been using QBD since 2006 and QBO since 2011 and I have hated QBO every single time I log in to it. So I’m not surprised at having to complain about the millionth stupid thing Intuit has done or not done with QBO. (I love QBD.)
To the Team person who may respond to this, don’t insult me by telling me to give Feedback on this. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve given feedback and nothing has changed, I would no longer have to work as a bookkeeper using piece of s**t QBO.

I reviewed our most recent publication in the What's New in QBO Archives and found no mention of a font color update. I've additionally checked our back end systems for other reports about this. To conclude, there haven't been any recent changes with fonts.
I'd recommend reviewing your browser and computer display settings to diagnose why the text appears differently.

I am vision challenged and quite frankly using light grey & light blues which seems to be the rage is pretty stupid and there is not really any defense of it other than "it looks cool". But for us who can't really see it, it makes the program pretty worthless as a tool. I see this has been an issue for 2 years now and can only chalk up the inaction to an "I don't care, most of customers didn't comment" attitude. I might suggest perhaps an ADA filing might some attention.
I'm a new QBO user. The thin light grey fonts are horrible. A teenager with perfect vision must have designed that part of the software. The payment page is especially difficult to see. After one day of usage, I'm going back to desktop. I really wanted to like QBO but this is a dealbreaker. FYI - you can change your display resolution & make the fonts much larger which really helps. But having to switch resolution every time I use QBO is a PITA
