Looking for Bank Reconciliation App

Is there any simple app out there that can integrate with QBO UK Plus?

The current Bank Reconciliation feature in QBO does not allow undo. This is very silly and one has to have services of a QuickBooks Online Accountant or employ silly workarounds.  The workarounds are very confusing because we can have a plethora of reasons to undo a bank reconciliation. Bank Reconciliation is a very important function in any organisation.

Looking for a traditional Bank Reconciliation App that can sync with QBO.

Please help.

We're here to help, @HAM9.

You'd be glad to know that you can undo a reconciliation in QuickBooks Online (QBO), and I'm here to guide you on how.

Remember that even little adjustments can make your accounts unbalanced. To lessen the impact, you can unreconcile one transaction at a time. To do that:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping and select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Look for the account and click Account history.
  3. Select the transaction you want to unreconcile to expand the view.
  4. Review the check column. You'll see an if the transaction is reconciled.
  5. Click the checkbox and keep selecting it until the box is blank. Doing so removes the entry from the reconciliation.
  6. Once done, select Save and close the account history.

Furthermore, you'd want to reach out to an accountant with an active QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA) subscription to undo an entire reconciliation.

If you wish to integrate an app with QBO to help with your reconciliation needs, you may search for it in the Apps center. Input the appropriate keywords in the search field, such as "bank reconciliation," to expedite the process.

@JaeAnnC You are repeating what I said about the Bank Reconciliation feature in QBO. It is a workaround as mentioned in my initial post. I did not ask for that and it is in no way an answer or help. I asked for an App because QBO does NOT let someone undo a bank reconciliation which is absurd and that even you are not able to answer. I know that you have to seek services of QuickBooks Online Accountant to undo the reconciliation. You don't need to tell me that. I already mentioned in my post. Read before responding.

Hi there, HAM9. Allow me to chime in and share some clarifications about the bank reconciliation.

I understand how important it is for you to be able to undo the bank reconciliations. Currently, that option is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

As mentioned by a colleague above, QuickBooks works with a number of third-party apps that offer a variety of services. While we can't specifically recommend one, you can go to this link  to see all the accredited third-party apps.

@HAM9

You can signup for a QBO Accountant account for free with another email address and access your QBO account as accountant to undo the bank reconciliation.

@Fiat Lux - ASIA There already is a relationship between QBOA and QBO.

However, the QBOA Accountant and the QBO company are parting ways. Relationship will be divorced soon.

What happens to the QBO company then? Among other things it will be orphaned as far as Bank Reconciliation Undo feature is concerned!  ... Unless someone wears the hat of QBOA and marries the QBO company as you suggest.
