Buy nowHas anyone gotten the code C=44 when doing a back up for MAC to Windows? Last year I was told I need to delete all my memorized transactions because some are corrupt. Completed that and it did work (with many headaches to get all my mem trans back) But Im being told that again this year and I really dont know if I can do this each time I need to send accountant my back up. Anyone else have this experience or something that has worked for them?
Suggestions on other accounting software (no I was not able to use the QB online version, it didn't work as I needed it to for what I do)
What year version are you using? an outdated one?
2024 QB Mac Plus version 23.1.9 R10.2
This happened last year too so I upgraded to 2024 and it didn't help. After going thru the process (takes up to 5 days to get results, they take my back up and research it) it was determined it was corrupt memorized transactions. I followed their directions to fix it, and it worked, but happening again this year. When I called this year I asked about not having a "fix" for it yet since apparently I wasn't the only one with issue, was told they are working on it (its been a year). I just really dont want to go thru the headache of deleting all my memorized transactions and entering them all again since they are pretty detailed, thats why I use MTransactions.
It seems there is another hidden issue with your memorised transactions that needs to be fixed. You should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA and ask them to check your company file.
Error C=44 during Mac → Windows backup is a known QuickBooks Mac issue and is usually caused by problematic memorized transactions or reports, not overall file corruption. That’s why deleting memorized items allows the conversion, but the issue can resurface year after year. The most reliable workaround is exporting the Mac file without memorized transactions for your accountant while keeping your working file intact. In some cases, third party repair tool like Stellar Repair for QuickBooks. may help clean underlying data structures before conversion, but results are mixed and it shouldn’t be relied on as a permanent fix. This is ultimately a Mac-to-Windows compatibility limitation rather than something that gets fully resolved over time.
I am having this exact same issue. The data services team rebuild my memorized transaction list from the back and sent my file back to me. The file then will backup to windows, however the second I edit or create a memorized transaction the error occurs again during windows back up. So there is a way to fix the data in the quickbooks database but it isn't available through the Mac software interface. Apparently no memorized transaction created in Mac will restore to windows.
