Buy nowI'm entering debits that I've missed or need to change because they are incorrect, and when trying to change a transfer amount, I'm getting a pop up stating that quickbooks thinks I've already reconciled, (why, I have no idea, I can change anything else) and if I change it, it will change my beginning balance when I do reconcile. I need to fix this because I'm way behind getting my 2021 taxes done and need to finish so I can give to my accountant. What do I need to do?
Hey there, @Nonee.
Let's check if this transaction is actually part of your last reconciliation. This will help us decide on what actions we need to take to ensure your books are accurate.
Here's how:
If this is the case, please review your bank statement and see if it matches your account in QuickBooks. If not, you can perform a mini reconciliation to make a correction. This assumes you know the ending balance from the most recent reconciliation. To get this done, you can check out this article for further details: How to modify transactions that are already reconciled.
If your financial statement matches your data in QuickBooks, I'd recommend reaching out to your accountant for further guidance before making any changes. They can provide you with the proper steps when creating adjustments and correcting your account.
When everything is fixed, you can finish reconciling your account and close your books.
Please let me know if you need further help in handling your transactions in QuickBooks. I'll be here to help you out. Have a good one.
Hi @Nonee,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about changing amount to transfer concern you had the other week. Was it resolved?
Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at anytime.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
