Making my icons bigger on the home screen

@Daryl Esh  Best guess is that it has something to do with the display settings on your computer itself. QB tends to source some display settings from that.

Making my icons bigger on the home screen

Thanks for sharing the screenshot, Daryl! Let's work on some fixes to enlarge the display icons, which will improve visibility and make navigating the software easier.

Since your QuickBooks menu icons appear small, we can start with some adjustments in the display and view preferences before we modify the Windows settings. Here’s how to correct the screen resolution:

  1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu, then type QuickBooks into the search bar.
  3. Right-click the QuickBooks icon and select Open file location.
  4. In the folder, right-click the QuickBooks.exe file and select Properties.
  5. Go to the Compatibility tab.
  6. Select the Disable display scaling on high DPI settings checkbox. You can also select Change high DPI settings and then Override high DPI scaling behavior.
  7. Click Apply and then OK.

Now, open QuickBooks and check if the display issues are resolved. If everything looks good, you’re all set. However, if you still see issues, we can proceed with adjusting your view preferences or further modifying your Windows DPI settings, which you can find in steps 2 and 3 of this article: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.

For future reference, please read through this article: Use QuickBooks on multiple screens or in Multi-Monitor mode. This can guide on how to enable features and their limitations.

Feel free to loop me in if you have further questions about display setup in your QuickBooks Desktop. I'm always here to lend a helping hand.
