Manager notified when employees make timesheet edits

Can the Manager be notified when employees edit their timesheet? If yes, where can I turn on this feature?

Manager notified when employees make timesheet edits

Thanks for swinging by the Community, Michele.

 

As of the moment, we're unable to alert managers when employees modify their timesheets in QuickBooks Time (QB Time). However, they can be notified when a team member edits timesheet notes or adjusts their clock-out time. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Company Settings.
  2. Select Time Options and click the Time Entry tab.
  3. Uncheck the boxes for Email group managers when team members add or edit timesheet notes and Email managers if their team members adjust their clock-out time.

 

While this feature is unavailable, you can send feedback directly to our software engineers, so they can possibly take it into account for future product enhancements.

 

To do that:

 

  1. Go to the Question mark icon and select Suggest an idea.
  2. Provide a brief description of your feature request.
  3. Click Send Idea.

When employees submit their timesheets, you can approve, disapprove, or reject them. Approving the displayed hours approves and locks all time data up to and including the chosen report dates.
