Memorized transactions

In Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2024, if I choose to "enter all later" for memorized transactions upon opening my company file, the currently due memorized transactions are no longer listed in memorized transactions when I look for them later.  How can I retreive them without reopening the company file each time I want to see them?

Hi, HSLI. Having the ability to access the Enter Memorized Transactions window anytime can indeed simplify managing your recurring entries.

Currently, QuickBooks Desktop only displays the reminders for memorized transactions when you open your company file. To view them again, we'll have to reopen the file.

Let us know if you have additional inquiries.

Respectfully, that's not true.  I have 5 company files and only one company file does not display the  memorized transactions that were not entered upon opening the company file.  It makes no sense for QB to show memorized transactions in a list, but not the currently due ones!

Thank you for getting back to this thread, @HSLI. I understand how frustrating it must be to see memorized transactions not displayed as expected in one of your company files, especially when your other files are functioning properly. I have prepared troubleshooting steps to help restore your workflow.

Since this is an unusual behavior in one of your company files, I recommend running the Verify/Rebuild data tool. This process can help detect any system errors or damaged data in your company file. It also ensures your QuickBooks software runs smoothly.

First, let's verify your company data:

  1. Go to Window, then select Close All.
  2. Click File, choose Utilities, then hit Verify Data.

Next, here's how to rebuild your company file data:

  1. Navigate to File, then Utilities, and select Rebuild Data.
  2. QuickBooks will prompt you to create a backup before rebuilding your company file.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Select where you want to save your backup, then click OK. Do not replace another backup file.
  5. Enter a new name in the File name and select Save.
  6. When you get the message "Rebuild has completed", hit OK.

If you get the same result after performing these steps, I suggest using the QuickBooks Tool Hub fix common data problems.
