Migrating Desktop to another computer

I have Quickbooks Pro 2014 desktop installed on a Windows 8.1 laptop.  I want to switch all my Quickbooks activity to a new laptop running Windows 10.

I don't want to but a subscription.  I just want to transfer my current program and data to the new laptop. How do I do that?

Windows 10 didn't exist back when Pro 2014 desktop was made. So what you are wanting is not supported (doesn't mean it won't work, just can't guarantee performance).

However, Intuit QuickBooks still has non-subscription versions of Pro 2021. You just have to call and ask.

Migrating Desktop to another computer

1. Secure a backup file (QBB)

2. Install QBD 2014 on compatibility mode Win 7 on your new machine

3. Contact Intuit directly to ask the activation code if the system prompts about it

4. Restore the backup file on your new machine
