Buy nowI just migrated from desktop to qbo and I am missing one (as far as i see so far) of my Income accounts.
How do I migrate just that account from my desktop to qbo
Hello there, @Linda2023.
Allow me to share some information with regard to migrating data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) and how we can bring in your missing income account to QBO.
When moving from QBDT to QBO, your books may appear differently. There are certain limitations on what you can transfer, convert and upload. To help you understand how your books were moved, you can read through this article: Learn how features and data move from QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop.
First off, I'd recommend running either a Profit and Loss or Balance Sheet report to make sure your data is copied successfully and for you to know what didn't transfer. Make sure to set the report's date to All Dates and that the accounting method is set to accrual.
Since you're missing one of your income accounts, I'd suggest exporting it from QBDT and importing to QBO.
To export:
Note that we need to follow formats on how the Excel file should look. You can download and open the samples in this article: Account List Sample File Format.
Once exported, you're now ready to import that to QBO.
Also, another workaround is to create a new account in QBO instead since you're only missing one income account.
Additionally, you can manage your future transactions flawlessly with the guidance of these helpful resources:

You're much welcome, Linda2023.
I'm glad to hear that my colleague has been able to explain why you experienced missing income accounts during the QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online migration. It's also true that you may check that your data was successfully migrated by running the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
