Mileage Records

I'm based in the United States, and I have been manually tracking my business miles with my vehicle through the desktop interface of QuickBooks Online. I have recently started using a Virtual Assistant in the Philippines to help with my bookkeeping, and I have just taught her how to record my vehicle mileage for me. She has full admin access, yet cannot see all of the previous business miles I have logged for my vehicle. Moreover, when she records new mileage entries for my vehicle, I cannot see the entries that she has made. This seems like a general software bug, but maybe I'm missing something? Please help!

Mileage Records

I appreciate you for reaching out and detailing the issues you're experiencing with tracking your business mileage in QuickBooks Online, @DogHop.

Since these entries for vehicle mileage are entered manually, it's important to note that QuickBooks Online is a cloud-based accounting software. This means that any entries made by you or your bookkeeper should appear accurately on the Mileage page without discrepancies. I'll provide a few troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Open the QBO desktop app.
  2. In the menu bar, select File, then click Check for updates.
  3. Follow the prompts to proceed with the update.

We can also remove the temporary files and reset the application to its default state. Here's how:

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Choose Clear Cache.
  3. Close the app.
  4. Reboot your computer.
  5. Then, reopen the app.

If you continue to experience issues, we may need to uninstall and reinstall the QBO application. You can follow this quick guide or visit the link to reinstall the app directly. Just scroll down to the Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, then click the Free Download button.

If the issue persists, I strongly recommend reaching out to our  QuickBooks Live Support team. They have the expertise and authority to review your account in detail and take appropriate action.

Here's how:

1. Navigate to the Help menu.

2. Click the Search option and type contact support.

3. Choose the Contact Us tab at the bottom.

4. Follow the prompts, then choose a way to connect with us: Have us call you or Chat with us.
