Hi, Tyler.
Vehicle spending that shows incorrectly usually points to categorization mistakes, duplicate entries, or data input errors.
Refer to your bank statement to spot duplicate accounts or incorrect transactions.
To correct your vehicle spending total:
- Go to the Transactions tab. (Filter by the Vehicle category to see all linked expenses.)
- Click on any transaction to view its details.
- For incorrectly categorized expenses, click the transaction and change the category to its correct type.
- For amounts that are wrong, select Edit to correct the dollar value.
- Delete transactions that you find shouldn't be there.
- Go to the Mileage or Vehicle section and ensure your vehicle details are correct.

Here's a link on how to categorize expenses related to using your vehicle.
I also recommend using the QuickBooks Self-Employed mobile app to automatically track your business mileage. Turn on mileage tracking. You can also add trips manually if you ever forget to take your device with you.
