New QB Estimate Layout Update Unable to insert a title, note, or blank product line without a value showing

The new 2024 QB estimate and invoice update you are now unable to insert a title line, note, or blank line in the body of the estimate/invoice without a vale or "0" showing. How do I stop this from happening? The old formate you were able to do this with no problem. Please see pictures below.

New QB Estimate Layout Update Unable to insert a title, note, or blank product line without a value showing

I see that every business has definite needs, garrett3013. I understand how convenient it would be to enter title lines or descriptions on line items when creating estimates or invoices using the new layout experience.

As QuickBooks Online aims to improve product experience with the newly introduced sales form layouts, entering blank item notes on estimates requires a value to show under the amount column. Currently, this feature is working as designed on the new design.

For now, you may consider managing customer sales templates using the old layout. I'll take note of your feedback to help improve our services and your overall QuickBooks experience. Also, you can personally send this idea to our program developers to work on its progress to include them in future updates. To do this:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Enter your product suggestions or feedback.
  3. Then, click Next to submit feedback.

I appreciate your patience as we work towards improving our product. Let me know any time in this thread if you need additional assistance managing customer transactions in your file. Keep safe and have a good one!
