Intuit has done NOTHING to improve that "new shipping manager" since June
NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ZERO changes in this pile of CRAP new system since June, and now INTUIT is making us to use this pile of CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as of 12/7....
I couldn’t agree more!
After Thanksgiving and throughout December is usually the busiest time of the year for business. Making this shipping change now, during the busiest season, makes no sense at all. If this change absolutely has to be mandatory, it should be implemented at the end of January or the beginning of February, when things are much calmer.
It does not exist and likely wont exist.
They (intuit) says its new and improved. It is not. In fact, its a large leap backwards in every way. It has no way to use existing phone numbers. It has no way to make return labels. It has no way to set default package sizes or weights. Its truly a terrible and useless platform. We have used QB enterprise for 20+ years and this update has almost brought our company to a screeching halt. I even talked to Support and they agree its a steaming pile of fail.
Hold off on updating your QB installs if you old shipping manager still works. Ignore the new one until they remove it or you can find a new service.
Intuit continues to cram useless and backwards updates down our throats and make this terrible program even more useless until you give up and go to their inadequate online option.
100%. This new option is pure junk. It wont use phone numbers with dashes so the 100,000 customers we have need to be manually changed lmao! We are going to use fedex ship manager and not use this terrible ship station mess.
The new shipping experience is just so bad. So far these are the issues we've identified (since Monday when we had to change over)
-Phone number format is inflexible and requires editing for every customer record we have.
-Phone number will not accept non US numbers (we have European customers in the US with +44 etc type numbers)
-We have negotiated rates that we used to have automatically mark up-now this needs to be done manually for each shipment
-Insurance forms used to automatically print x2 when insurance was taken now this is a manual function.
-Print functionality is poor. When used to press "go" the thermal printer would print out a label and the laser would print out insurance forms if required, we now have to print these individually to each printer
-NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING SUPPORT?? This so bad, so we're back to UPS.com for this.
-Allowing other team members to be able to use the shipping manager seems to require and act of congress, I've tried all the solutions I can find online and so far, I am the only one who can access it.
This "update" has removed so much functionality it's hard to understand why it was allowed to go to release.
So very disappointed.
May I recommend that you go into the new shipping manager, and provide feedback, the key here is NOT your comments, but the grade you give them.... This should drive the rating in to the ground so someone has to take action... MAYBE this will have some impact on QB management... MAYBE!!!
Short of that, I personally use Stamp.com to ship my USPS and UPS shipments, yes Stamps.com just added Fedex and DHL as a carrier, at really good rates... But it is not as fast as shiping manager in QB... but maybe it helps...
