Buy nowDoes anyone know if Quickbooks Desktop Pro is going away? I was on a live chat with sales and they told me that Pro, Premier, Mac and Accountant are all going away. I hadn't heard that so I was hoping to find out if anyone else knew the answer. The question I was trying to get answered on the live chat was that I have 2 files and both have the same license number so can I use the same product number for both when I download a newer version of Desktop Pro? If anyone knows the answer to that one as well, that would be great!
Thank you!
@klclark QB Desktop versions operate on a three year lifespan past a certain year; for instance, Desktop 2022 will be supported until the end of May 2025.
Likewise, the latest version (Desktop 2024) will be supported until May 2027.
There is no Desktop 2025 and, as far as I am aware, there are no plans for such.
Enterprise may be available into perpetuity, but I'm not sure.
2021 and back can function as 'stand-alone' versions, but none of the bells & whistles; no payroll, no bank feeds, no support from Intuit whatsoever. Just simple bookkeeping and data entry. I don't think 2022 and forward will function the same way, given the hard switch to licensing and yearly renewal fees.
Thank you!
Can you login to CAMPS as the Primary Contact and find your license code there?
