Our regular payroll clerk is in the hospital unconscious on a ventilator due to covid-19. We do not have her login information but need to get payroll done by next Monday. How can we get past this and get our employees paid?

It's my priority that you'll be able to run payroll for your employees. Let me provide some insights on how you can generate paychecks for them.

 

You can add another user to your account that can access payroll. This way, the user can run payroll for your employees and get paid next Monday.

 

Know that when adding a user, you'll need to be the master admin of the company. The said user can also access the payroll section of the account.

 

Here's how to add a user:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks with a user profile that has permission to manage users.
  2. Click the Gear icon. 
  3. Select Manage users.
  4. Click on Add user.
  5. Choose a user type
  6. Select the access rights for the user. Then select Next.
  7. Click on the user settings, if applicable. Then select Next.
  8. Enter the user’s name and email address. Then click on Save.

Once done, the user can now create paychecks for the employees by following the procedure found in this link: Learn how to run payroll in your QuickBooks Online Payroll.
