Outlook Integration With Quickbooks Destop

I am using QB2023 desktop.  I have been always able to email my statements from within the program.  As of today, this is no longer the case.

QBDT will not recognize Outlook.  Outlook doesn't appear as an option in the Send Forms preferences.  I only have web mail and QB mail.

I use an exchange account to send mail from Outlook.

My default email address appears in the email box on the Send Forms Company Preferences.  The Email ID is my default email address, and is the current default.

When I try to send a statement via email I get an error that say QBDT cannot connect to my email server.  I then hit Change Password and enter my Office 365 password.  No joy.

My email address appears in From box in the QBDT email.  My client's email address in the To box.

My server is https://outlook.office365.com/owa/xxxxx.com/ where xxxxx is my domain.  This is the web access site.  I tried server name smtp.office365.com.  Neither worked.

I changed the port from 25 to 443.  No dice.

My Outlook version is 2512 Build 19530.20074.

All my previous versions of QBDT have Outlook as an option in the Preferences/Send Forms/Send Email Using dialogue box.  QBDT 2023 and 2024 do not have the Outlook option.

I am using the accountant's version of each program.  Programs are up to date.

Unfortunately I updated my data file to the 2023 version.  Now no emailing.  Sucks.

What gives?

How do I set this up again?

Thanks.

Outlook Integration With Quickbooks Destop

Hi FLBill,

I understand the importance of having reliable tools for sending statements, and I recognize the essential need to resolve this integration issue between QuickBooks and Outlook. Let’s work together to explore solutions and restore functionality.

QuickBooks Desktop 2023 supports email clients, including Microsoft Outlook versions 2016-2021, Microsoft Outlook with Microsoft 365, Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Outlook.com, and other SMTP-enabled platforms for sending statements, invoices, and other forms. You can refer to the following articles for the complete system requirements:

Ensure Outlook is set up correctly as your default email program for emails, contacts, and calendar by following this link.

If Outlook still doesn’t appear as an option in QuickBooks Desktop, I recommend reviewing Solutions 3-7 in this article: Fix Outlook is missing in send forms preferences.

If additional assistance is needed, please let us know your QuickBooks Desktop hosting environment. This will help us better assess the situation and ensure we provide the most effective solution.

Outlook Integration With Quickbooks Destop

It worked.  I had to do a clean install of QBDT 2023.

I haven't tried to correct QBDT 2024 yet as I do my time and billing on 2023.

Thank you.
