Buy nowWhen we write a PO to our vendor to ship for us, we also send a packing slip and when the packing slip is sent from the PO it shows up as a PO, but is a packing slip. Is there a way to make it say packing slip and not PO. see the photo of what I am talking about.
Thanks for reaching out to us, ninja600RX.
I'm here to share some information about making packing slips from a purchase order.
If you're using a Purchase Order (PO) and attachment when emailing transactions this option is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop. Thus PO is non-customizable.

Hello DebSheen, Thank you for the quick reply. So, if a SO (sales orders) also says the same thing, then how can we make a packing slip that says a packing slip when sent as an attachment?
I'm here to help you with customizing the name of the attachment for your packing slip, @ninja600RX.
The option to customize the name of the attachment of the packing slip is currently unavailable. I can see how useful it is to you and other customers, so I'll take note of it.
I also encourage you to leave feedback from within the product by following the steps provided by DebSheenD above. You can check out this article for more information about providing feedback to make the program better: How do I submit feedback?.
In the meantime, I suggest downloading the packing slip to your computer and renaming the file when saving. Then, send it outside your QuickBooks company file.

I'm always here if you need more help with editing the name of your packing slip's attachment. Let me know by leaving a reply below. Have a great rest of the day!
Hello Mary Joy, 100% understand what your saying. We were just trying to avoid the extra steps. Thank you, Michael
