Partial Qty invoice

I wonder if anyone can help me. I have always used desktop version but recently switched to online.

Is it possible to invoice a partial QTY from an estimate?

In other words, on the estimate we have a QTY of 50 but I only want to partial invoice 10 of that QTY.

Online version seems to want me to invoice a % of the total value as opposed to a different QTY amount.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Partial Qty invoice

Hello there! Let me help you invoice a partial quantity from an estimate in QuickBooks Online.

Yes, it's possible to invoice a partial quantity from an estimate, but there's no direct option to select the number of items to convert into invoices. Instead, you can manually calculate the percentage of items to be converted.

Here's how:

  1. From your Estimate, click on the Create Invoice button.
  2. Click on Custom amount for each line, and then select Create Invoice.
  3. Under the Due column, choose the Percent from the dropdown list.
  4. Enter the percentage of items you want to convert into the invoice, and it will appear in the Qty column.
  5. Fill in the necessary information.
  6. Click Save.

Additionally, if you want to learn more about sending invoices over time as you work off an estimate in QuickBooks Online, you can check out this article: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.
