Payment can't be scheduled error pop up

Welcome to the Community, @purchasing-women.

To better understand your issue, please send us a screenshot of the error message you are encountering.

A cache-related issue on your browser may be causing trouble in scheduling bill payments on QuickBooks Online (QBO). We can try some basic troubleshooting steps to determine and fix the problem's cause.

First, open a Private Window or an Incognito Window in your browser. This will allow your account to load fresh data in a clean slate. Use the following keyboard shortcuts, depending on your browser:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once you're in the Private / Incognito Window, sign in to your QBO account and try to schedule payments again. You can return to your original browser and clear the cache if this works. Alternatively, you can use other compatible browsers if the problem persists.

Additionally, you can check this article for an overview of tracking your bills within the program: Enter and manage bills and bill payments in QuickBooks Online.

Payment can't be scheduled error pop up

I have the same issue on both of my companies on QB Online.  I can not make any bill payments process.  Every time I get this error........

Payments not scheduled

You can try scheduling these 3 payments again from the Bills page.

What could the issue  be since this has been happening for years now it seems?

Payment can't be scheduled error pop up

I see what you go through, Gussplumb. The "Payments not scheduled" error occurs when there's a temporary glitch or interruption in the connection. Let's rule this out by signing in to your company as an admin user using an incognito or private window. Here are some steps you can take:

  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Option + P
  • Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + N

If it persists, I recommend reaching out to our support team. They'll check the issue and guide you through resolving it. To contact our support team, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. In the Assistant tab, enter Talk to a Human.
  3. Select either chat with us or have us call you.
  4. Enter your concern and follow the onscreen prompts.

Make sure to reach them within business hours to ensure a swift response.

Moreover, consider clearing the cache to eliminate any temporary or unnecessary files. Deactivating any extensions or opening other tabs can sometimes disrupt the functionality of the program. Disabling them can help pinpoint the source of the problem.

Furthermore, ensure to use compatible browsers.
