Only one workstation at a time can run physical inventory, @MBK. I’ll explain why and provide a workaround you’ll want to consider when conducting its counts.
I recognize the convenience of using networked computers to enter physical inventory counts. However, other workstations are prevented from completing the same activity while one workstation is engaged in a physical inventory.
Actual stock counts are referred to as physical inventories. That information is used to confirm or correct the on-hand quantities recorded in inventory. We advise conducting a physical inventory while using Point of Sale for the first time and on a regular basis thereafter.
