POS Lane 5000

Does anyone have the new Lane 5000 pin pad working with POS?

It isn't working for us.

Hi there, Cranky1.

 

There's an ongoing investigation about the QuickBooks Point of Sale w/ Tetra Lane 5000 Pinpad interruptions. Our engineers are working to fix this as soon as possible.

 

In the meantime, here are some suggestions to help resolve the issue:

 

1. Reboot the PIN Pad (power off and back on). Then process the transaction again.

2. If you still have the old iPP350 PIN Pad, you can switch over to using that pin pad instead. It will also work with POS 19.0.

3. Try to use a USB card reader and see if that works.

4. Enter the order manually in the POS Software.

 

In line with this, you may consider reaching out to our support team. To add your account to the list of affected users. This way, you'll be notified once it's fixed. You can provide the INV-52625 to our representative as your reference.

Thank you for the reply.

I've already re-installed our IPP 350 because none of the others options that your support team stepped me through worked.  I've wasted quite a bit of time on this problem and I will not do another upgrade with POS or financials again.  

Frankly, I will be surprised if the Lane 5000 ever works.

Hey there, Did you switch to a different POS system? And if so, which one did you choose? I feel your pain. I'm having problems with the stupid PIN pad again! They make me furious once or twice a year for the last 5 years. The one thing holding me back from leaving them is the years worth of inventory in the system and all the money we have sunk in already. Just curious if you had chosen another system. POS Lane 5000

Hey there, Did you switch to a different POS system? And if so, which one? Just curious. I'm having problems with the stupid PIN pad again and this is the new one that was supposed to work. I had to download Square on my phone this morning just so I can take c.cards. I just get so furious with the whole thing once or twice a year, for various reasons, for the last 5 years. I would love to ditch them. But we've already spent so much $$$$ on the systems. I just wanted someone else's opinion. Thanks so much! Have a good day!
