POS Suggestions

Is there somewhere to submit suggestions to improve QBPOS?

As a user for 13 years, there are so many small changes that could make POS so much more user friendly for the retailer and customer.

We absolutely take suggestion, HWPB. 

 

We always want to implement the suggestion of our customers. I want to let you know that our product engineers are considering all suggestions based on the number of requests and their impacts on the user interface before they're rolled out. 

 

We recognize that each company has unique needs, and I can see how these features would benefit and empower your business. Don't worry, I'll personally submit feedback directly to them. 

 

By sharing your idea here in the Community, our app developers are pushing through the envelope to improve the product's features to meet your needs.

You asked for it...You got it!  haha

I am happy to discuss any of the these in more detail if needed.

 

Cashier shouldn't have to ask & choose credit or debit on pos.  The pin pad should tell pos which one the customer chose.

Voucher screen should be a different color to prevent accidental ringing of a sale on wrong screen when voucher screen is open by mistake.

Voucher screen should show MSRP field in column

Years ago, when typing in an item, whether in voucher, make a sale or inventory, you could see the item number next to the item.  Now you have to actually choose the item before you can see the item number.

Make a sale screen should number each line item

When ringing an item, if the barcode is not read, the scanner should not beep and the screen should show an error message.  We find that this happens frequently and if the cashier isn't paying attention, the item is not actually rung up.

Allow us to add a fully customizable pop up for the cashier before taking payment.  ex:  Did you count the items?  or Did you add to Frequent Buyer?

Should not be able to sell an item if the price is $0 by mistake

Once a sale has completed, cashier should not have to click "save & print" or " save & email".  Would be nice if this could be setup to happen automatically.

Able to ring up Visa/Amex/MC gift cards without knowing how much is on the gift card.

Automatic customer discounts by department instead of global only.

More space for customer notes

On make a sale screen, would love to have a colored field that stands out next to customers name with need to know information.  (I know there is a history & notes field, but it would be great if a short note could be visible here in red.) we used to put the info in the customers email field so that it would be visible in blue font, but now QB won't allow us to put notes in that field.  At the very least, would be helpful if "notes" was bolded and in a bright color.

Integration with ASTRO Loyalty

On the dashboard, widen the space for sales numbers so the entire number is visible.  This is only a problem once sales surpass 999,999.99   Changing the number or dashboard columns does not fix this problem.

Confirm before deleting a held receipt.
