Price Rules on New Invoice

I'll share some insights into why Price Rules aren't showing on the new Invoice experience, armcore. Let's work together so you can apply the rules to your invoices. 

QuickBooks has recently released new updates about the Invoice layout. In line with this, Price Rules is unavailable for the updated experience. In this case, I recommend switching to the Old layout. You can check out this image to complete this action. 

However, if you don't have an option, I recommend submitting a feature request directly to our Developers. Doing so allows us to improve your experience with the program. This will be shared with our Product Development Team. 

Here's how: 

1. Locate the Help option.
2. Under Profile, choose Feedback.
3. Enter your feedback suggestion.
4. Hit the Next button.

The ability to switch to the old layout has now been taken away. Yet the price rules are still not fixed. My company is losing thousands of dollars because I cannot get the bills sent to the customers in a timely manner. Do you have a timeline of when price rules will be added back or if they are even going to be fixed? I need to know if its time to look for a new invoicing system. 

Allow me to chime in and provide information about the price rules on the new invoice, @armcorefrigeration.

To begin with, starting from May 6, 2024, QuickBooks has transitioned all users to the new invoice and estimate interface. It'll not be possible to revert to the old layout. This update is intended to enhance the customer experience by introducing more features and faster development through improved back-end technology. While some old features may no longer be available, the new version offers enhanced functionality and customization options.

In addition, the price rules feature is still in beta pace and is only accessible to selected customers. Please note that this option isn't available in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Simple Start and Essentials. Also, we don't have a specific timeframe for when the price rules feature will be added to the new layout of the invoice.

Is there an upgraded product I can get so I can have price rules?

There isn't a specific product designed for accessing the Price Rules within the new layout. This functionality is exclusively accessible through the Plus and Advanced plans. However, it's worth noting that this feature isn't currently available with the updated invoice experience. I understand the importance and convenience of this functionality to your business. Here's how: 

1. Navigate to the Gear icon.
2. Under the Profile column, select Feedback.
3. Key in your feedback suggestion.
4. Once done, click Next.

You can use a CRM app with the price rule feature to integrate with QBO as a workaround.

Thanks for that information (we are having the same problem)!  We don't currently use a CRM. Where could we get more information about this workaround?

This is worst update I have ever seen.  Options hidden.  No data carrying from estimate to invoice.  This is just wasting time and making everything slower.
