Printing invoices with dark enough print

Invoices in pdf view appear dark enough to be easily read.   However, they print out faintly.     I've tried changing the fonts that are available in the invoice template, but they all print out faintly.   What can I do?   It's embarrassing to send these out to customers.

Printing invoices with dark enough print

Hey there, @CGILES.

I'm happy to see you here in the Community! I know it's essential to make sure you present your brand with professional-looking forms. I'm here to help you enhance the quality of your invoice print.

If your invoices and other sales forms are not printing clearly, your print settings may be set to a low resolution. Increasing it fixes the problem.

Here's how:

  1. Open the sales form you want to print.
  2. Select Print or Preview and then Print or Preview.
  3. Once the preview screen opens, click the Printer icon.
  4. Within the printer dialog box, choose More settings.
  5. Increase the quality (for example, to 600 dpi).
  6. Hit Print.

Additionally, you can email or print multiple invoices and other sales forms as a batch. This helps you save time as you won't have to do them one at a time. You may refer to this article for the detailed steps: Using Batch Action.

Please let me know how these steps turn out. I want ensure you can print your invoices with great quality. Please don't hesitate to comment below if you need any more help customizing your forms. Wishing you and your business continued success, @CGILES!

Thank you for following up on this thread, KBM_SIC.

It can be challenging when the printed invoices don't look as clear as the PDF view. Let's work together to ensure your invoices print with the desired clarity.

There are a few steps we can take to fix the issue. To start, configure the printer settings and make sure the device is set to its highest quality print setting. This can be adjusted in the printer properties or settings when printing the invoice.

Next, check the ink or toner level. When it's low, it affects the print quality. Aside from that, adjust the PDF settings. Look for settings like high-quality printing or print as an image.

On the other hand, try a different PDF viewer. Then, print the invoice to see if it makes a difference. If none of these suggestions work, I recommend reaching out to an IT professional to configure your device and print settings.

Additionally, download the latest version of your Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Reader to apply critical fixes to the program. This troubleshooting will help resolve most printing issues in the online program. For detailed instructions, click the following link: How to update, repair, or re-install Adobe Reader/Acrobat.

Printing invoices with dark enough print

When printing invoices, all of the printing is bold and easy to read, but the shaded areas of bill to, ship to, invoice, date, total, etc., are so faint and nearly impossible to read, both online and once printed.

This needs to change.

Let's use other templates for your sales transactions, eLewis22.

The layout when printing invoices will depend on the template you're using. With this, you can change it and choose the Airy classic as your template, as it will show the shaded areas as bold.

To create a new custom template or edit the old one, follow the steps below:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Under Your Company, click Custom Form Styles(Take me there).
  3. To create a new template, click the New Style button in the upper right-hand corner.
  4. Select Invoice.
  5. Go to the Design tab.
  6. Click the Change up the template and click Airy classic.
  7. Go to the Content tab to customize the header, body, and footer of the invoice template.
  8. Click Done when finished.

For the previous template, just click Edit and choose Airy classic in the Design column. For additional reference, you can check this article on how to customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.
