I don't see many people talking about product prices in Quickbooks online and how they don't show up when I create a new purchase order. Does anyone know of a setting I can change where the MSRP price of a product I enter in a purchase order will show up? I am forced to open my product price list or enter the product in to an invoice in order to see the price.

Hi Christine. Thanks for the quick reply. I figured it out. I recently migrated to online from desktop pro. I did not realize that I had to enter my cost in the purchase information field. Desktop Pro did not require this.
Thanks again for getting back to me
Let's navigate to the Product and Services section to verify the details and amount of the item entered in QuickBooks Online, Larry.
The Products and Services menu allows you to access, review, and update your items. In this case, please ensure you've entered an amount in the Price Rate or Cost field.
Here's how:
1. Go to Sales and select Products & services.
2. Find the product or service you want to change.
3. Select Edit in the Action column.
4. Double check the Sales Price/Rate and the Product Cost and make your changes.
5. Select Save and Close once done.
If you have entered an amount for your items and it doesn't show up when you create a purchase order, I suggest logging into your QBO account via a private browser.
Here are the shortcuts to incognito browsers:
If it works, you can clear the cache to reduce browser issues like missing tabs and features while using QuickBooks.
Moreover, refer to this link that guides you through comprehensive inventory tracking in QBO: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online. This will help you organize your items grouped by category.
Additionally, for more guidance on adding your purchase orders to bills and expenses in QuickBooks Online (QBO), please refer to this page: Add a purchase order to an expense, bill, or check.
